When hiring a window cleaner it is important to remember that the best price and the best value aren't always the same. First, find someone who is reputable and experienced. Then, focus on competitive pricing.
For example, there are franchise companies out there that offer incredibly low prices. These companies can keep their rates down by paying their employees a small commission based on their work production. This causes employees to rush and produce inferior work.
In addition, employee turn over is high with these companies meaning that most of their window cleaners don't have a chance to gain much experience. The results are often streaks, scratches, skipped windows, or broken roof tiles, and in the end an incredible price doesn't turn out to be a very good value.
I have been cleaning windows professionally since 2001. I am an owner operator and each and every So Cal Squeegee Pros customer is important to me. I understand that it's easier to keep a customer than to gain new ones. Therefore, I provide top notch craftsmanship at an unmatched "value," while showing the utmost care for not only my customers windows, but also their homes and belongings.
